The best diving for the dollar (pesos remember) in this intergalactic region. (Diving in the Cal Diving pool is still the overall best diving for the dollar)   Cozumel is THE Mecca for SCUBA. If you have not been there at least 5 times you should hang your head and feel shame -- then talk to your boss and  get time off to revitalize yourself to be more productive at work and also have a more consistent tan all over. (almost all over) we have not joined the European Consortium yet.

We will be leaving from SFO Sunday night the 17th, arriving Cozumel Monday morning. The group will return on Monday the 25th. COZUMEL is located 7 miles off the tip of the Yucatan peninsula across from Cancun on the mainland.  Water temperature is approximately 83 degrees and air ranges from 80 - 90 degrees for this time of year. Water Visibility on the average is 150 feet, but can exceed 200.
Scuba Club Cozumel  looks like a Spanish hacienda rather than a resort.  A medium size resort that caters to Scba Diving, though, many friends come along. A spacious courtyard, bar, pool, dive store, and 6 dive boats.
The week starts with a thorough orientation and warm up dive just off the beach. Divemasters are helpful while entering and exiting the water and guides join the group in the water to show you the best parts of the reefs.  Drift diving is easy once you have the basics.  We will be doing an orientation off the resort on the first day of your trip. As one the most popular diving destinations in the world it boasts crystal clear water, massive coral formations, plenty of large grouper, millions of fishes, and dramatic drop-offs. The boats leave after breakfast around 8:30 in the morning and return around 1:00 just in time for lunch.  In the afternoon you can go into town, relax in the hammocks, swim in the pool, or take another shore dive right off the resort.  The club is a short 15-minute walk from town if interested in shopping, sightseeing or the night life.
(Rental of reg, computer console, and buoyancy compensator is $ 150.00 for  the week-FROM US!) You can rent there but our gear is top notch AND we know how to trouble shoot it.
Researve EARLY- All our trips this year are totally filling months in advance!!!!!!!!!  Expect 20 to 25 other Bay Area vacation buddies.
